COVID-19
The safety and well-being of our patients and staff are our number one priority.
For any existing patients – please call 4607 2526 and Dr Kamalaraj will be happy to answer any questions you might have.
Due to the emergence of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), you may be asked additional questions when making your appointment and when checking in. These screening questions help us manage the safety of our patients and staff.
Please call Reception on 4607 2526 if:
- You are currently under quarantine or self isolation on the advice of a medical professional or the COVID-19 hotline
- You have had any overseas travel in the past 14 days
- You have a fever/cough/cold/runny nose/sore throat/breathing difficulties or flu like symptoms
- If anyone attending the practice with you will answer YES to any of the above questions.
In the above cases DO NOT come into the practice.
If you have cold and flu like symptoms (but are otherwise not at risk of the Coronavirus), please still phone ahead of your appointment for advice.
Alternatively, call the National Coronavirus Helpline on 1800 020 080, or the Public Health Unit on 1300 066 055 or the healthdirect helpline on 1800 022 222.
Dr Kamalaraj already practices telehealth for his rural and regional patients and so we have quickly moved to expand this service to many follow up appointments to reduce the risk to patients and staff. New appointments often still require a face to face consultation as the physical examination is key to diagnosis in rheumatology. However, please call in any case and we can discuss potential solutions to help you get the care you need.
